織田一磨は洋画を川村清雄に、石版画を金子政次郎に学び、近代美術としての版画を主張する創作版画運動に参加することで日本初の創作石版画家となった。
北斎を中心に浮世絵版画を研究し、浮世絵同様に、時代の移り変わりを新鮮に表現した風景画を多く制作した。

ODA Kazuma studied Western-style painting under Kawamura Kiyoo and lithography under Kaneko Masajiro. By participating in the Sosaku-Hanga movement, which advocated printmaking as a form of modern art, he became the first Japanese Sosaku-Hanga artist to specialize in lithography.
He also researched ukiyo-e prints, with a particular focus on Hokusai. He produced numerous landscape prints that vividly captured the changing character of modern Japan, following the tradition of ukiyo-e.
