国安は初代豊国の門人で「国丸」「国直」と共に豊国門人三羽烏と称され、中でも国安がその第一人者であった。
読本、合巻本の挿絵は多く描いているようだが、天保3年に39歳の若さで病死したために浮世絵作品はそれほど多く残されていない。

Kuniyasu was a student of Toyokuni, and together with Kunimaru and Kuninao, was known as one of the "Three Crows" of Toyokuni's students, and Kuniyasu was the leading person of them.
Although he seems to had illustrated on many story books, there are not so many Ukiyo-e works since he died of illness at the age of 39 in 1832.
