曽我物語図会は、「曽我物語」を題材にした全30枚から成る連作浮世絵シリーズ。
「曽我物語」とは、親族間の所領争いに巻き込まれ、父を工藤祐経に討たれた曽我十郎・五郎兄弟が、建久4年（1193）5月に富士の裾野で行われた巻狩の機会を利用し、長年の恨みを晴らして父の仇を討つ物語。

Illustrated Tale of the Soga Brothers is a series of thirty ukiyo-e prints based on the Tale of the Soga Brothers.
The Tale of the Soga Brother tells the story of the brothers Soga Jūrō and Gorō, who were drawn into a family dispute over land and lost their father at the hands of Kudō Suketsune. In May of Kenkyū 4 (1193), during a large-scale hunting event held at the foot of Mount Fuji, the brothers seized the opportunity to avenge their father and settle their long-held grudge.

Hiroshige was born in 1797 (Kansei 9) as the son of Andō Gen’emon, a fireman of the Edo fire brigade stationed at Yatsuyasu-gashi. He showed a love for drawing from an early age and became a pupil of Utagawa Toyohiro at the age of fifteen. He first produced bijin-ga and actor prints, but later gained great popularity as an artist through his landscape series, beginning with the well-known Famous Places of the Eastern Capital.
