Although Eisen has a strong image as a painter of beauties, he also left behind masterpieces of landscapes.
Eisen and Hiroshige completed "Kiso Kaido 69 Tsugi" (The 69 Stations of the Kiso Kaido) in collaboration around 1835, and 24 of the 72 works in the series were by Eisen. Magohachi Takenouchi of the publisher Hoeido planned the project, and Eisen was initially the artist but was later taken over by Hiroshige, and the publishers were Hoeido and Kinjudo. Eisen's signature can be seen only on the first printing. Shopping Guide & Information of the Japanese Prints
