秋の訪れ、美しく色付く葉に縁取られたみみずくが一匹。
吉田博の長男である遠志は、アメリカ各地をキャンピングカーで周りながら制作を行い、父から受け継いだ伝統木版画の技法を広く世界に普及させた。
また、野生動物を求めて南極やアフリカにも訪れ、動物の動きや様子をくまなく観察し、その本質に迫った作品を多く残している。
丁寧な描写からは、遠志が動物や自然に抱いていたであろう畏敬の念も見てとれる。

A single horned owl framed by beautifully colored leaves.
Yoshida Hiroshi's eldest son, Yoshida Toshi, traveled around the United States in his campervan while creating artworks, spreading the traditional woodblock print technique inherited from his father worldwide.
He had also traveled to Antarctica and Africa in search of wild animals, observing their movements and behavior in every detail. As a result, he has left behind many works that capture the essence of these animals.
The animals depicted in his artworks reflect their species' way of life, and we can see the sense of awe that Toshi must have had for animals and nature.
