作家コメント
「神様今日も遊びにきたよ!」
岩手には、様々な形で布を奉納する文化があります。
祈りを彩る布達は、きっと私たちと神様を「結ぶ」ものなのだ、と私は思います。
人々の託した「祈り」は神様のお使いの優しい子が、その身に纏って届けてくれる。
その優しいお使いの隣には、いつも黒くて小さい友達がいる。
そんな物語を想像しながら、いつもこの一人と一匹（二匹）を描いています。
ディレクターコメント
岩手県は「民話の里」とも呼ばれるほど多くの民間信仰・伝承等の古い言い伝えを残す土地だ。幼少期を岩手県で過ごした古原も、一緒に暮らしていた祖父母から多くの物語を伝え聞いていたという。
古原の作品には、地域の伝承・信仰に加え、自身が体験した出来事の記憶が入り混じっている。何かを見た、という曖昧な記憶を元に紡がれる、もしかしたらあれは、という願いの糸のようなもの。大切な人を亡くした経験から、古原はこの世とあの世の間で、どこかあたたかなそれを捜しているのかもしれない。

Artist Comment
"We came to visit again today!"
In Iwate, there is a culture of cloth dedication in various forms.
I believe that the cloths that color our prayers are something that "connect" us to God.
The "prayers" entrusted by people are delivered by God's gentle messenger, who wears them on his/her body.
Next to the gentle messenger, there is always a small black friend.
Imagining such a story, I always draw this one messenger and one (or two) animal.
Gallery Commentary
Iwate Prefecture, also known as the "Home of Folktales," is a land that retains many folk beliefs and legends. Kohara, who spent the childhood there, also heard many stories passed down from her grandparents.
Kohara’s artworks are a mixture of local folklore and beliefs, as well as memories of events she experienced. The artworks created from vague memories of what she saw, and they are like a thread of wishes for what might have been.
Having experienced the loss of a loved one, Kohara is searching for something warm between this world and the next.
