芝大神宮のお祭りは、例年9月11日～21日の実に11日間という長期間にわたり開催することで有名だ。「関東のお伊勢さま」といわれ全国から参詣者が集まったために開催期間が長くなり、口の悪い江戸っ子の中には「だらだら祭り」と皮肉った者もいたという。

広重三代は広重の門人で、文久頃から重政と称して作画を始めたが、慶応元年に広重二代が師の家を去った後は、広重三代と称した。開化絵の名手として名高く、からりとした明治前期の時代色を良く伝えている。

The Shiba Daijingu Festival is famous for being held for 11 days, from September 11 to 21 every year. The festival is known as the "Ise-sama of Kanto" and attracts worshippers from all over Japan, leading to its lengthy duration, ironically referred to as a "lazy festival" by some foul-mouthed Edo people.

HiroshigeⅢ was a pupil of Hiroshige. His first artist name was Shigemasa, and after HiroshigeⅡ left his master, he changed his name to HiroshigeⅢ. HiroshigeⅢ had earned a reputation with the depictions of the civilization during the change from the Edo era to the Meiji era.
