The 24 Paragons of Imperial Japan is a series of works published in 1780-87. It is not an artwork of loyal retainers of the nation, but rather a figure of a person who has been successful over the ages and years, and a commentary by the playwright Ryutei Tanehiko is written at the top. Some works have a unique interpretation of Yoshitoshi.
