小野忠重は昭和７年に新版画集団を設立し、労働者や民衆の生活を題材にした作品を制作する。
その後は木版陰刻などの手法により独自のマチエールを持った作風を確立していった。

ONO Tadashige established the Shin Hanga Shudan (New Print Group) in 1932 and produced works depicting workers and the everyday lives of ordinary people.
He later developed a distinctive style and unique sense of texture through techniques such as woodblock intaglio printing.
He was also a scholar of print history, old maps, and ukiyo-e.
